Anyone here who is using sampled content will be glad to see that after decades of PC Manufacturers ignoring audio, we get our due attention.
They have a nice demo using SpuBase and PLAY instruments, which is really good news. When you see these massive overbloated resource wasting apps running stable, it means Reaper and Kontakt will be twice as cheap, twice as fast and even respond to realtime messages if you are wise enough to use a soundcard like Scope, which doesn't have the word latency in it's manual.
Notice the 64GB's of RAM spitting out audio @ 50GBps bandwidth........
What's even more fascinating is that Cubase didn't crash..

Check out the LCD w/ SpuBase showing in the jpeg. below. 1200 USD for 64gb RAM kit, 1000 USD for a CPU, and 250 USD for the UD5 from Gigabyte, or 225 USD for the MSI X79A-GD65.
Now for common sense realtime users, 200 USD for the MSI X79A-GD45 w/ 4 x PCI-e 1X slots for the upcoming Intel SSD's using SMT caching, 400 USD for 32GB's of DDR3-1600, and 300 USD for the 3.6GHz Quad since most realtime users choose better synths than the ( yawn, yawn ) NI Komplete collection. Omnisphere or Zebra come to mind.
