All 16bit drivers disappeared!

Hi everybody,
I ran into impossible situation: all 16-bit software drivers suddenly disappeared from routing window in Scope 5.1 32bit in WinXP sp36. It means that only 32bit ASIO1 and ASIO2 drivers are offered under soft in&out. I cannot find any 16bit instance of ASIO driver, it's not even listed
Does anybody have a clue what is wrong?
Thanks in advance
Rade

I noticed in 5.0 (WinXP 16 bit) old projects give me older ASIO drivers but if I start a project from scratch they aren't available. Dont know why.

I forgot to mention that i really need 16 bit drivers for some of my projects, especially for live use (SAC, and other VST hosts)

you are right!
Thanks, at least some part of problem is solved:)
I still do not know how to call 16bit asio on new projects

So possible workaround is to just modify old projects

well, 32bit driver connected to a 16bit app communicates with the app at 16bits....

Hmmm....
I'm using Sonar X1, if i start scope project from scratch, i cannot use 16bit resolution in Sonar at all. Sonar lists audio driver bit depth at 24bit without possibility to change that to any other value. It means Sonar see asio driver as 32bit integer...
At the same time if i use XTC mode in Sonar and start xtc asio control panel, and chose 16bit mode, Sonar still see Scope Pci ASIO as 24-bit!
The only solution for 16bit asio in Sonar is to start old Scope project that used 16bit driver. It means that in Scope 5.1 16bit ASIO drivers are still there, but they are for some reason not listed under Sofftware IO options. They are anyway listed and required in older project files.

why can't you use 24bit?
if the old project was 16bit, there'll be no audio disadvantage.

From memory ( I'm not at DAW ) one of the sets of the new drivers dont have more than 1 destination ( you double click but it doesnt open the little dialog that lets you up the number ).
Ill clarify next time Im on DAW.

As i said before, main purpose for 16bit drivers is to be used in SAC rig and Waves multirack rig. I managed to build external PCIe box with 2 Pulsars and virtuavia board and it works perfectly! Now i have two options: to use SAC's mix engine and vst in live performance, or to use STM 2448 for mix along with waves multirack software for additional processing. In any case i would need 48khz/16bit resolution as it is more than enough for live environment. For studio use, i record thru TC electronic Studio Konnekt 48, and using Scope rig in 24bit mode:). When gigging, Tc seves standalone as master clock and 8ch AD converter and digital patchbay. In live situation, i contol all of my equipement with MIDI footcontroller (I'm sax player in band)

well, that's fine. the 32bit integer drivers should work with your 16bit software just fine. if not, let me know and i'll help to get you going.
