Using external USB MIDI controller

Greetings All

I have a Tascam US2400 that I would like to link to the Scope Mixer. I am using Samplitude 10.0.2... The controller works really well inside Samplitude but sometime I would need to control the Scope mixer instead.

I am sorry to state that I cannot figure out how to "patch" any of the 6 MIDi devices of the US2400 to the Scope Mixer. I also use an Axiom61. If I use it via USB I cant connect to Scope, but if I connect via MIDI to Scope MIDi in then all is good.

I tried to use the "Sequencer MIDI source" to no avail..

Anybody could suggest a way? Is there a utilty that could internally re-route the MIDI devices of the US2400 to the Sequencer MIDi sources? This way I would map the controller to the various parameters of the mixer

Any help/comment appreciated

Thanks

Eric

Scope doesn't see the USB ports for MIDI input - which is why MIDI ports only work.

For USB you'll need to use MIDI-OX to route the USB input to Scope MIDI.

This way your host AND Scope can see the USB port.

I use this method when using USB controllers like padKontrol or NanoKontrol for driving drum triggering in Samplitude OR automating mixers in Scope.

yes, or you can go through a midi channel in Samplitude.
the main thing, is as Siriusbliss says, there must be a software link, to connect two pieces of hardware.

Many Thanks

This MIDI-OX software is amazing. Addressed my concerns brillantly and it can do a lot more.

Thanks
