what happened to those vsti "boxes"?

Post by kensuguro »

I remember seeing a couple of companies doing a similar concept to receptor, where there's a dedicated box for vst and vsti? Seems they've vanished from the face of the earth, or at least I don't hear about it from anyone.. did they end up being vaporware?

The sm boxes are total crap. And i mean to-tal-crap.The ones setup for demo in my area went quickly. No power...latency issues...the list is endless.I dont know 1 person who uses one or had luck with one.Drivers are also piss poor.

Muse research also announced a cutdown version of their receptor: the musebox
http://www.museresearch.com/musebox.php
But I never saw any of them anywhere for sale ... (the price was intended to be $1200)

and this is just funny while some DSP solution go native ...
