for the upcoming show Jordan..
It's a thing for the Japanese embassy there, a concert of japanese children's songs. I'm really loving the strings arrangements. Otherwise it's just a medley of traditional japanese children's songs.
Synful strings as usual.

reply to myself about details..
what was cool about this is (though it's in progress) it was a good reminder of the strength of a good line vs just a vanilla "comp" string. I consciously used vanilla lines where the vocal would sing, and used melodic (higher motif power) lines in between. That was a good reminder that a good line can be much more musical than just a chord.. say, the violas playing the shell. (3 and 7th + cello on root) Good reminder that the intricacies in arrangement is what makes a tune flavor-full.

All in all liked the arrangement, just needs either need the real vocal or better lead instrument ( eg lead guitar at 1:20, maybe lead viola from LA Session Strings ) to replace it to be fully realised, otherwise it will sound a bit MIDI'ish. Nice ensemble strings .....

added the last song of the medley. Last one has the best arrangement I think.

The guide melody sounds like crap.. took it out in this one. I do wonder how it'll sound with the real vocal, we'll see once I get to jordan.
