On the Sonic Core site the Modular 4 is still listed as beta (
http://www.sonic-core.net/en/home/modular4.html), Is this a typo?

No typo....
But all that said, I have been using it and just avoid the 5 or 6 modules that have flaws still.
Tape Delay........works as long as nothing else is added to the shell ( XITE-1 )
Gate Burst....error messages when editing GUI
Interlace.......Doesn't allow modules to sit undernesth it as it has a larger shell that is not visible.
AHD Loop........Random repeats.
MultiSeqEG........Same problem when recalling presets, GUI madness.
Other than that everything works fine during live use.
In XITE-1 I can use several large Modulars so I have learned to use whatever works, and then wait for the updates.
Tape Delay is worth buying Mod IV for.
It operates flawlessly if used as an effect only in its own shell.
Then you can twist its parameters in realtime w/ zero zippers.
Think of Lexicon Prime Time Model 93. The version w/ the ARP Odyssey tipped faders.

Happy to say along with 64bit XITE-1, Modular IV has now fixed these modules too.
You should contact support if you have Mod IV.
For a live performer the Tape Delays are worth the price of Modular IV.
No zippers in realtime, and I can even use a slow LFO to emulate a 2 1/2" Tape Reel deck being powered down.

Good to know.
ModIV is running great here.

I love tape delays

I sometimes take a Scope delay and create a feedback loop through my Technosaurus Effexon hardware unit which has some nice analogue EQ and overdrive. I also have a 30 years old Akai tape recorder with three heads so you can feed the recorded signal back into it's inputs. I haven't used the Akai for some time now so I hope it still works. Now if I only had some inputs left on my 2 A16's......
