Which Version Of Windows 7

I was going to upgrade, but then was advised to get a fresh new install on a retired/reformatted hot spare.
But now I want the OS for 32bit just in case I dont like the 64bit version.
Is there a version where I can just get an install disc, and have 32bit and 64bit available...?
Thanks

MS is so confusing and their distributors only make things more confusing.

According to WIKI they are all ( Home, Premium, Pro) 32 / 64 bit optional except the Starter version:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions

Scroll down & read comparison chart there - eg for 'home basic' supports 32/64 but 64 bit disc not included (?) ..maybe a download ?

On all others ( home premium and above ) installer should have both versions on same disk and detect whether your hardware is 64 bit capable and if so give you the option at install time.

If you choose 64 bit at install you end up with 2 'program files' folders, one for 32 bit versions and one for 64 bit.

If you choose 32 bit at install you only get 1 'program files' folder ( x86 )

NB this is from research, I haven't actually installed it myself...

You get two seperate disks. One says 32 bit software. The other says 64 bit software. That's on the Home Premium, anyway.

I got a good straight answer finally........2 discs is exactly what I want.
Having both installed.
I already have a good stable 1U i5 just in case this goes array.
Start off with a 6GB 64bit build, that can go 32bit if need be, or just add 6GB's more for a total of 12GB's.
There's a whole new crop of NCW based instruments popping up like LASS Lite and First Chair, Kontakt Strings.
VSL and PLAY instruments are great, and expensive.
Kontakt w/ its NCW stuff is going to be the way I go.
My 12GB's will be like 24GB's using other developers instruments.
The time draws near...... :D

Yeah, but as dante said he's seen 'em with one disk only. Check and double check, Yogi.
