Has anyone tried running a 4.0 on a windows 7 system in compatibility mode, or xp mode? I am curious if the drivers will work. I will move to 5.0 when the sdk is available but for now I am trying to work with windows 7 with 4.0.

It won't work. Basically Win 7 and Vista are the same from a driver standpoint, so you need the Vista drivers. Only Scope 5 works in Vista and Win 7.
