hello im having trouble installing scope for the first time, scope pro running on windowsxp, install looks fine no errors or nething but it doesnt install everything and theres no scope platform.exe created after install so cant start scope. how to fix installation?thnks

Are you installing from a disk or from a dowmloaded file?
If it is from a disk maybe you should go to the Sonic Core Site and download 4.5 and try again.

the installer DEFINITELY works, i've run it so many times on so many machines....
it does work best when run directly from the desktop, rather than a usb stick or a downloaded version run from a burned cd.

hey tryied both from scope 4.0 disc and downloaded version 4.5, both tried off my hd as well, same result

something else is wrong. what os and what version is involved?

xp sp2, tried reinstall windows same issue

you're logged in as administrator and you installed the driver first?
this software definitely, 100% for sure, works. what do you mean by "doesn't install everything"?

the installer installs quickly seems that not doesnt install all necessary files and no spf.exe to enter scope after installation, yes logged in as administrator and installed driver 1st

i've never seen such a thing. it imports the keyfile properly?

ok succeeded in getting scope to work after copying over all files directly from install cd into program directory, but every time scope starts it prompts for registration of ReferenceResolver, and then i import key file about 5 times till scope finally opens up. i also get the same prompt every time i load any kind of device in scope, where after importing keyfile once prompt goes away and the device loads. how do i get rid of this referenceresolver wibndow that keeps coming up?thanks

do you have BOTH v4 and v5 on the same machine? if so, you need to rename the v4 folder so that the program doesn't try to load from v4 files when loading old projects.

if you only have v4 on the machine, my guess is that you have more than one Scope folder/directory. the dialog looking to resolve file location only comes up when the files aren't where the installer says they should be. are you installing on the c drive?

I noticed Scope 4 installed directly on C:\ - then Scope 5 made a copy on C:\ root, and also did its main runtime install to
'C:\Progam Files\Scope PCI\'

ok i just did a complete wipe out reformat of windows xp, got only one (C) hard drive installed, installed only scope 4.5, driver first ofcorse, and still same problem. scope seems to work fine - loads perfectly, its just netime i load any device ex. mixer, synth... i get this same registration of ReferenceResolver prompt. where i load my all keys file, says import success and sometimes the device will load first time sometimes i have to import a few times for device to load. ne ideas? i dont know what to do. Could it be just be a key thats missing or something or is it scope related or what?thanks

well, yeah....do you have keys for the devices in question? have you checked your keyfile? on the live bar under set\registration, you can see a list of keys and devices. if you try to load a device that you don't have the proper key for, it will create a mess of registration dialogs.

this prompt comes up whever i load any device in scope-mixer, synth,fx..., synths n stuff the prompt goes away after import key file once, mixer takes 4-5 times. i double checked keyfile n registration, everything looks to be ok

well, something is obviously screwy. your problem is quite unique.
i really don't know, i think that this is a problem for support. where are you located?

before support one more possibility i was thinking is when ever i do a clean install of scope 4, and import my keys during setup almost all keys light up except a few synths and
enter key-scope platform 3.1
enter key-main studio package
enter key-scope sp/ key
enter key-scope sp/ mixer key

are ne of these 4 keys required for a successful install?

yes.
can you pm me your keyfile and details about which card(s) you own? i can definitely help you sort this problem out, though the final solution will be S|C's. this shouldn't be too difficult.
