It would appear the proverbial cat is amongst the pigeons.

Not that big a deal. But along the way it uncovered the fact that Avid might have been marginally naughty in crippling the HD system to encourage users to buy more hardware than they actually needed.
"So why the anger from the Pro Tools user base?
For them they feel that AVID have not been telling the truth for many years regarding the claim that Pro Tools was artificially crippled and in being so made users buy equipment they didn't need to buy."
