xp and sx with pulsar 2

Have had a wee look and saw nothing so far. Have been in win 98 mode with software v 3.1c with pulsar 2 for some time and have now installed win xp.(98 doesn't like my 240g drive).
Have c base sx 2.2? in there.
The question is about drivers. I would be embarrassed to ask this but a) don't want to load anything unless sure and b) I have not kept up with updates over the years with the scope drivers thing.
Being my first post I am hoping to get away with the obviousness, cheers for any reply.
(can't afford to upgrade software at mo)

And Scope 4.0 is free. :D

Personally i would upgrade SX too if you can. Maybe you're OK with it, but it was SX that turned me off Steiny for nearly 4 years (i now have Cubase 5 which seems to be reasonably back on track).

thanx, there is just one little thing. my machine is intel 1g processor with 500m ram which limits me in terms of software upgrade anyway. I didn't know v4 is for free so that sounds good. 5 sounds like it is not an option for me for now due to spec. Will 4 work on my machine do you think?
Nice to get help, much apr.

yeah, Scope will work just fine. Cubase might not be all that happy...

still not going yet, getting back to it now.
It looks like I am going with software 3.1c with xp (been using win 98, pc spec as above, have a tiny cut down v of xp) .
The question is, do I need different drivers now that I am using xp and if so, where can I download as most driver stuff seems to be related to upgrades.
cheers

To be honest, if you've got XP then you may as well use Scope 4.0 - it's a slightly updated 3.1c but 90% of the stuff is essentially the same, so if 3.1c doesn't crash, this won't either.
