Hi all
can't find anything here except specific tech problems.

I have to put my old cards in a new pc as I have moved continents and didn't move the old pc just the cards.

Is it better to buy a used XP pc, or are all Win 7 ones OK? I have 2 x Luna and 1 x 6 dsp booster card, scope 4.

I have moved to Penang. Sea, sun and Scope... 8)

Thanks
Geoff

HI geoff. If you want to use v4 stay with xp.If you want to use win 7(note 32bit,64 bit sfp is not available yet) then you need to upgrade to v5.Hope i got that right,if not somebody please correct me.

Also sweet move!Enjoy the sun. :)

Don't forget to check that the motherboard offers the right number of "old" PCI-slots.
You cannot plug scope cards in the PCIe slots. I've upgraded recently and have a ASU P6T Delux. I was able to plug my two cards BUT that makes the PCIe 16 Slot unavailabe due to the layout of the mobo. there's simply not enough room...Ah I see you have 3 cards then my mobo won't be an option. Probably you can check out PCI-extenders (don't know if this is the right term) that provide a external case for hosting your PCI cards.

Did I mention that i like Win 7 64? The only drawback is that Scope Software refuses to install, it's still 32bits only...but soon

Yes I know about the slots issue I used to have one of the big cards which are so long I had to cut a chunk out of the box.
I might get a used pc.
Will be buying next week,
Thanks all
Geoff

Well, I ran Scope system on my Asus P4P800-E Deluxe.

Has 5 PCI slots where I had:
- Creamware Pulsar-II
- Creamware Pulsar-II
- Creamware Pulsar-XTC
- EMU Producer system with breakout box 1820M
- TC Electronics Powercore PCI MK-II with Virus Multi

It all worked great together, but now I have sold all my CW stuff.

Hi
I got a new pc made up locally with a Gigabyte 3 x PCI motherboard and Intel Core processor. The 3 CW cards installed fine, and seem ok but I have no monitors yet so have to assume sound is coming out (!). On Win XP Pro.

Will keep you informed and give more details when I dig out the box for the motherboard.
