Routing external FX problem

Hello community.
I have a pain if my head because of routing problems. I would appreciate much if You could help me.

So, I have Scope Project with two In\Out ADAT ports.
I have A16 ultra with two In\Out ADAT ports (and 2x8 Ins(A+B) and 2x8 Outs(A+B) of analog Jacks).

I have several synths - it connects via analog Jacks to In-A of A16 and A16 route this data (via optical cable) to ADAT-A input of Scope.
ADAT-A Output of Scope goues to ADAT-A input of A16 and then from Out-A via Jacks I connect monitors (2xJacks) and headphones (1xJack).

Summing up - I have 1 x In\Out ADAT-B free on both A16 and Scope card. (and I still have 5 Jack outs in Out-A of A16)

Now I have some external stuff - RFX-2000 (RFX) effect processor.
It has analog inputs and DIGITAL outputs (I mean optical out - ADAT).
It has analog outputs too but I really dont want to make a useless AD\DA conversions with noise adding.

So I connect 2xJacks of Out-A of A-16 to RFX Input and DIGITAL ADAT out of RFX goes to ... WHERE???
I have two options - to ADAT-B of A16 or ADAT-B of Scope Card.
Lets start with ADAT-B input of Scope (without A16 - directly to sound card).

I make External Effect S in SCOPE Routing Window and make the following routing in Effect Panel:
INPUT : 2x ADAT A Dest
OUTPUT : 2x ADAT B Source

Then I connect (for example) Wave Source to InL+R of External Effect S and OutL+R goes for example to IL2+3 (second channel) of STM1632. First channel of STM1632 is for Wave Source.

By the plan Second channel of STM1632 must show some sound with color metering when I play something in winamp or else. BUT IT DOESN'T! Why??

What am I doing wrong?
Please help.

P.S: There is ABSOLUTELY no problems with power of RFX or Zero volume and so on, because if I connect ANALOG out of RFX to Analog Ins of A16 (instead of 2x Jacks of any synth), and connect in External Effect S Panel:
INPUT : 2x ADAT A Dest
OUTPUT : 2x ADAT A!! Source
... then it works FINE - I see the metering on second channel and hear the effects (reverb,delay...)

Whats wrong with ADAT routing?

P.P.S: I tried to connect RFX to ADAT of A16 and A16 route to ADAT B of Scope - the same thing - I dont hear the sound of RFX.
By the way - I see the red stream light in optical cable connecting to RFX out - it works, it sends signal, but I cant catch it or routing is wrong... :-(

I send any screenshots You need.

Thats because the output of the RFX-2000 is SP/DIF and not ADAT. SP/DIF optical uses exactly the same connector but it wont work with ADAT.

what you can do is use the other digital out from the RFX (probably an RCA jack?) and connect it to the digital in on the scope card.

Neutron, grand thanx, I thought I lost the rest of my mind ))

Yes, RFX has RCA digital out but ... scope card hasn't :-( I have XLR version.

Is there any simple signal adapters  ?

Well you are supposed to use a matching transformer, but you can just try a RCA to XLR adapter and it will usually work. otherwise hosa makes one but its $75 or something
