Is it possible to have V3.1 (or V4) and V5 on the same computer ?
i'm affraid that some plugs don't works on the V5 and I don't want to be stuck with this version ..
is the plug-ins which comes with the V5 will work on the V3.1 platform already installed ?
i hesitate a lot to upgrade

that's not possible without a reboot due to the different drivers (loaded only on Win startup)
you might want to clone your harddisk for 2 installations ...

reboot isn't enough when you work with asio. you have to change the asiodriver path in the windows registry, too.
else, cubase won't be able to access the asio driver.
i second the dual boot if you need to switch alot.
however, i don't know any standard or third level plugin that doesn't work in v5
(except v5 for Xite-1, which is another pair of shoes)
cheers,
roman

If you turn off Scope in the bootup, then I believe you can run either OR version by manually starting up the app. after bootup.
But yes, you may run into difficulties with the drivers embedded in the registry.
In my experience, about 98% of older plugs are working in V5 and Xite.
