Hi,

I'm using an Xite-1 and Scope V.5.

I bought Xor and Flexor yesterday and managed to get it installed. Flexor works (and sounds) great but I'm not having any luck with Xor

I'm using a straight simple project setup with the outputs from Xor going into the Scope mixer (STM 1632 X) - midi input comes from the sequencer (Ableton Live). This setup works perfectly well for all the other devices, just not this one.

I've tested the included patches and none of them work except with a couple where I can hear a 'thump' with a midi note on or off.

With further testing it seems that the oscillators don't work at all. On some patches I can get the LFOs to oscillate into audio range where I can hear them. In this case I can test the filters, effects, etc where they work perfectly well. It just seems that the oscillators don't work.

I've tried reinstalling it with no luck.

Any ideas?

I haven't had any problems with Xor here, but maybe manually assigning it to a DSP will 'purge' whatever is preventing it from triggering.

Not sure what else to try, since you already have it routed simply enough to eliminate other conflicts.

Thanks to Assaf, I've solved it!

Basically, installing Xor overwrites some dsp files so reinstalling Scope over the top cured the ailment.

I use XOR to play live Guitar & Bass stuff. I now have VDAT with drum tracks and can't wait to try that out on the sidewalk gig.
I use 2 x XOR's.
I have instance #1's PBend at a value of 1.
Instance #2 has PBend value of 2.
It makes slight PBends sound more authentic.
Plus I can bend the B String up to the E strings pitch striking 2 sounds just like s real guitar, ala Ted Nugent, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, etc.
A real Guitar is much better I know, but on the sidewalk due to the choice of tunes I play I get folks rockin'.
They had me playing Piano at first and I told them I would quit unless I could choose the music. People were walking by and maybe one or two would stop and comment or go in and spend. But it sucked. I felt like a 500 lB. slob in a Speedo at the Palms swimming pool during the playboy bunny bikini walk..... Crazy Train and other hard jamming old rock tunes was a complete success, plus it's so much fun throwing what little hair I have left up and down with the folks and just grooving.
Who knows a crowd and music better than the player...? Some punk ass Food & Beverage Manager or me.
I don't follow instructions well, and love it when someone tells me it can't be done.
XOR can do Guitars SYnths and especially excells at rhythmic LFO jams.
