SC says 3.490€ incl. VAT on their site whereas thomann has it at 2689€ incl. VAT
is this right?

A common tactic to steer you towards the retailer.
Personally I think they should have links to their retailers.
A local musician made hollow short Grand Piano shells for housing large KX88's years back.
A good idea for the more successful performers with large stages indeed.
But at NAMM he was telling everyone who would sell direct....????
So much for help moving your inventory..
The price is so high it must be meant to scare one off to the retailer, or to take money from anyone willing to pay that premium...

Katano My Brotha',
You will love the DI'd Quality for Guitars.
Statocasters and even the cheaper Mustang Fenders sound like an amped rig, especially when Dyna or MoJo are used.
I was playing a Strat throuigh G.O.S.T. Dynomic w/ a pair of Saw plugs and MoJo and easily had many differnt sounds. Makes me want to buy another axe again........

I can't understand why S|C isn't making menion of their DAC's. On high quality Monitors there is much more evident bass and the mids are better defined, but on decent powered cabinets for stage like my Barbetta Sona's they sound like big ass nearfields now.
The Sub isn't even needed because the lows are so full and I am using 4 x 8 inch woofers in 2 x powered tuned cabinets.
Anyone using this at a gig will have many women checking you out all night, as you will have have a hard on and they will think you're just extra large.....................ankyuvarymush..

Hello all2gether..
I´m working for ( and supporting) SC and will give you an answer, as far as possible.
The "streeprice" of an Xite-1 is € 2899.- not € 2689.-. Thomann or who else does not sell at a lower price, as far, as I know.
For all the german SAE Students, there will be a discount of 20% to the OFFICAL Price of € 3490.- soon.
I will have a look, what i can do to create a discount-program for every student (No matter, where or what they study).
What i can promise is, there will be a good deal and we are working hard to make you satisfied.
Moon

There are any discount for ELECTRONIC MUSIC teachers?
We can create a whole new generation of new S|C addicted students
Actually I use Scope or Luna modular3 for modular unterstanding to the class.
If they are X-ite discount in planning we can think about a couple of other X-ite buy...

Once again me.. and .. no.. I´m not Nadja...
Yes, I know about a lot of ways to use it .. Especially for teacher..
just think about Routing, Modular Synthesis and our Z-Matrix, just to encounter a few of the possiblilities...
I´m the one to figure out, where the possibilities are, what we can do, and what is efficient.
For the moment, I´m doing the SAE Student Discount, but, I´m thinking of an Educational Discount for our Hardware..
We have to discuss this, and I can promise, there will be an answer before Christmas

)
We are doing our own Community, WIKI and "closed" support-room for warranty customers and it will come in between the next 3 month.
We know about problems in our supporting section, but we are working the marrow out of our bones, to get things done, believe me..
We hope, that our customers and the community is a little more patient, until we are ready to change the whole thing into a consumer-friendly and hopefully appealing environment.
Support will be faster, exact and much more efficent.
Have Fun...
Moon..

it's official when it's on their website. not a minute earlier. or where exactly do you know from that this announcement is from a genuine S|C staff member?
(If I was to enter the forum as a S|C employee I would ask holger to introduce me to the forum, and I wouldn't type Support with a triple p)
