intel DP35DP tweaks

Hi guys,

I've thoroughly gone through the posts but I am still not sure what I can disable or leave enabled.

How do I know which USB ports are being used by the mouse/keyboard? Are they grouped in parallel(that is top two are group 1 etc)?

Is there any more tips in fine tuning this board?

I also want to get rid of the IDE Hard disk which holds the O/S.

I only need about 30Gigs but the Seagate still looks the best bet even though it's quite large.
It seems to have the best read rate.

Thanks

it doesn't matter which usb ports are used by the kb/mouse. just use the working ports, you'll know which those are pretty quickly. most will work.

as to getting rid of the ide hd, you'll either have to clone the hd to a sata drive or start from scratch with a sata drive. don't disable the ide connector, you can use that for cd/dvd.

read rate etc., isn't that important on the os drive, although faster drives will boot a little quicker. i'd just get a bigger one because the small ones are just about as expensive.
