I just got a 14dsp card with v5 and had a system I had just installed windows 7 on. (I have run v4 on xp with this system with no problem).
The install went fine, and imported the key file and it seemed to worked. THe dialog closed and that was it.
Nothing happens when I try to run v5. I click on the s/c icon and nothing happens. I reboot the system it does not start. Any ideas why?
I still have xp and 4.0 installed on another drive but I don't want to upgrade it becuase I have the SDK installed there and I don't want to loose that functionality.

First make sure you're using Win7-32bit as you'll need that for the Scope driver to work.
Second, search for the threads on how to make Scope work under Vista (32bit) here, as the same compatibility options will most likely work for Win7 (32bit).

Scope 5 works straight out of the box with win7 here.

That is great to know. Holger already said that 64bit Windows 7 was the way to go when the time comes.
I did see Vista 64bit working fine already, well at least at NAMM '09.

Is scope listed as running in your start-up programs? If so try unchecking it then try to launch scope from desktop.

Have you checked the task-manager if scope is already running? Sometimes the icon is just not accessable so you have to close the running scope process via the task-manager and then launch it again.

Yes, the problem was scope already running. I have just installed windows 7 and was used to having the scope icon show up in that task bare. But by default it does not, so didn't realize it was running. I changed the config so the icon shows up in the task bar so I can click it an select show. Seems to be working fine.
