3DRealms, the developer studio responsible for the long awaited, the multiple winner of the "world's most unreleased" vaporware, has been reported to have shut down its business.
does that mean Duke Nukem Forever [tm] is DN Gone Forever, or is it just time to reboot the DNF franchise?

TakeTwo announced today that they're officially sueing 3DRealms, as they see themselves losing out after 'supporting' 3DRealms as a publisher over the years. They were only publishing DNF and 3DR was 'independantly financed', plus TakeTwo is still developing 'Duke Nukem Trilogy', a series of handheld ports for the original game... (actually 'based on' is more accurate). There's still a remote possibility someone will swoop in and purchase the IP, but I really can't see the relevance now. There are some rather humorous timelines that depict all that has happened in computing (and the world) during the development timeline for DNF.
