The title says it all.. is there a book or site where I could see maps of components to design sounds, with explanations?

I do understand enought o design sounds, but frankly I think I need to learn more... to get more excited and productive when i plug those hundreds of modules together

and when you are done, check the links area there, especially the article series from "sound on sound" magazine. the stuff there will keep yer head spinnin for weeks
