Hi all!

I've got a problem with my Pulsar environment.
when I work with the Pulsar and just MIDI sequencer, everything works fine.

BUT!

When I want to record the audio with a seperate piece of software, I get MMEerrors complaining that all the Pulsar recording devices are occupied.

Can any1 help me out what's going on or how to solve this?

TIA!

I don´t know ecactly which piece of seperate sofware you are using, but I think the solution to your problem might be to output your "seperate" software to other wawe-or asio drivers than channal 1-2 (on your pulsar)which probably is occupied by your sequencer. You can also try to route it through the direct out- drivers.
Hope it helps
Kim

yeah - load up more wav drivers, cuz the MIDI app is probably stealing your first wav driver too n yer audio app needs one for iteself.

If you´re using samplitude 5.9 for recording upgrade to 6 (free), that´d solve it. There has been a change of handling the audio drivers.

I use for MIDI Cakewalk 3.0 (yeah, I know it´s ancient but I love the interface for fast editing), my Pulsar I ofcourse and Samplitude 5.11 or Cool Edit Pro 1.0.

Neither of the recorders does the trick, no matter which Pulsar Recording channel I use I´ve loaded up to eight drivers.

Am I going crazy? Oh... sorry I already woz

Erm... 'xcuze me, but I cannot find the 5.9 -> 6.0 upgrade. They've got a whole new set of products but no Samplitude 2496 anymore...

http://magixus.magix.net/magixII/e/home ... country=US

here's an overly long web address for magix, the company who is handling samplitude.(partners split, each taking part of sek'd's soft library and each adding some new software) the 6.0 upgrade is free only if you bought 5.9 from magix and got an upgrade voucher.....the new version looks pretty good...
