I had this pear that tasted so good, it made my day. I actually feel very happy because of a pear. lol. I think the world over complicates itself a lot of times, especially with the internet and all.. I think I should write a song about a pear that could change the world. hehe

People is too much into internet... if you talk about a pear, they will understand it is a bad spell of a soft pear to pear...

or something.
The meaning of life is already lost, and a pear makes sense, it's true

To A Poor Old Woman
munching a plum on
the street a paper bag
of them in her hand
They taste good to her
They taste good
to her. They taste
good to her
You can see it by
the way she gives herself
to the one half
sucked out in her hand
Comforted
a solace of ripe plums
seeming to fill the air
They taste good to her
- William Carlos Williams

I haven't been able to purchase a juicy piece of fruit in years.
It reminds me how much I'm looking forward to my trees bearing fruit this year, I have apple, cherry and pear and with good nurturing they always reward me.
Indeed you are a lucky man to have experienced such joy from fruit.
The silver apples of the moon, the golden apples of the sun
---------------------------------------------------------
Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.
-Ray Bradbury
John Buckley composed a piece for it, though for me it doesn't conjour up the same emotion I receive when I'm enjoying quality fruit.
It has to be said, Oranges are not the only fruit (Jeanette Winterson)
Though I did see a woman suck on plums once, she had a nice pair.

It's funny but you get better produce in NYC than I do living in the country.
