Look out for C-Thru Music's Axis and the Haken Continuum.
2 very interesting controllers IMHO.
Eric.

An extremely nice product, but its not the only product from SSL that was awesome. X-Desk will be a hit. Oh and shameless self promotion :

The unit looks a lot better than I thought - After I had loaded 13 SC Plate-X the XITE was using 50% of the available power - impressive.
There's nothing official regarding the release date of the XITE, but..................
It's an extremely nice feature that you can allocate DSP resources manually - that's the only way I will be working.

How does SC plate x and other new stock plugins sound? Have you tried large number of synth voices? It seems that plate verb is very power-hungry was samplerate at 96khz?
I hope SC gives some release date info before Messe ends. Enjoy yourselves.

LOL BSE is a prion, not a virus.

Thanks Warp69.
What is your X-Verb called at the SSL site?
I am not finding anything except X-Ism, etc.
I would love to see it.

It's impossible to validate the quality of anything at the Messe because of noise - so Im unable to comment on the quality of the new devices. But I do know the quality of the SC Plate/Ambience X - since it's the x100 series. The numbers are for unoptimized versions which is quite impressive. The samplerate was 44.1kHz. I would probably be able to load 26 instances on the XITE - I have no idea how many with an optimized version.
I did not try any synths with large number of voices - any suggestions?

That's correct - I don't know why all the SSL Messe news have been pulled from their website.

Yeah, tell Bowen to get over there when your at the helm of an XITE-1 and load the poly up on a Solaris.
The preset called Mullholland Falls is glutton for DSP's, and he did say he was tweaking everything for Scope 5 and XITE-1 a few days ago, so Solaris should be in the synth folder by now.
At NAMM XITE-1 and Solaris were barely capable of a demo due to having to take them, apart, etc. For example, the 5.1 Reverb didn't have a Key........and Ralf wouldn't answer the phone.............
But we were excited just hearing segments back then.
But now, seeing and hearing more shows progress and determination.
Thanks for your help.
And thanks to SOS for going prepared by having so many helpful vid's etc.

I just would like to know the amount of voices Modular 3 or any 'higher end' synth can have on XITE with any simple patch.
Congradulations on the release of the new reverb. I had recently ruled out getting a duende and had decided to try the SCOPE and UAD combo only, since UA released 4K channelstrip and Buss compressor, but this new SSL Duende update will force me to seriously rethink things. I'm normally not a big fan of dsp plugins running on both Native processor and dsp cards, and i think that using Native power for dsp plugins defeats one of the purposes of buying dsp cards in the first place, and also it states that the card is indeed a dongle, but since i'll have so much extra Native processing power it might not be a bad idea for the present moment to use duende like that. Plus lower latency can be achieved with that approach for duende plugs. With uad hardware being so expensive and uad has no really high-quality reverb, that duende may become very appealing to many, including myself. I don't normally use alot of effects to make music but i suspect it won't take alot to eat up huge power with that new reverb in the arsenal running @ 96khz, so again running part Native does'nt seem bad ATM. Looking forward to hearing some audio-demo's of the new reverb, I'm sure it's worth killing for. Congradulations and thanks for the info!
