... So now Creative Labs have started selling there new Audigy series - quite stunning 24bit, ASIO and everything... Has anyone tried one... Any comments?

I haven't tried one, but i've heard that the ADC is not as good as the DAC and only capable 16/48k operation. I just read that on another forum, but if the ADC was as good then they would sure as hell mention it, wouldn't they?

Wrong Forum??? But basically it´s the same card as the soundblaster live. What´s really new is the fire wire jack and the low latency asio device drivers... any MAC uses the fire wire interface for more than 8 years now and for audio,too. But that´s supreme development regarding to a pc!

I got the audigy beta driver
from a friend,
its a 80mb package and it works on the old boards as well (hmm...may-b not just ALL of them, im not sure)
Anyway, we tried that out
and my friend was able to use hes sblive with 2MS latency!
as 4 me, since i just got a new mobo+cpu didnt have the time yet. but will soon
