The icon is there only for IE, look at http://www.planetz.com/favicon.ico
Unfortunately that's the IE old way of integrating it in the site... according to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon#Standardization

p.s.: modern Gecko browsers (FF3, Seamonkey 2.0..) don't support anymore the IE "standard", but old Mozillas and Seamonkey 1.x still do.

Did anyone notice that http links don't open in a new window since the PHPBB version switch?

Am I the only one who cares... :-? :)

hehe Actually I thought I was probly the only one that was bothered by that.
I now right clik every link and open in a new tab.... not really that much of a pain. But now that its been mentioned, I would say that I prefer it when links open in their own tab or window.

Middle click is assigned to open in new tab here, I forget if that's due to a config change I made in ff or tabmix plus, which I've used for some time now.

a link rel="icon" line in the header should do the trick. I was not aware of the fact that newer browsers dropped the old scheme, since most icons work...

Top tips!!

I've been living in the ignorance of right click menu selection for new tabs!!!!

Geez, I forgot there was a middle button to click

I believe ctrl+click is the keyboard equiv (or ctrl+enter when the link is hightlighted via tabbing).

Using what, finder? Even the iLife & iWork applications benefit from having more than 1 button although the menu commands are still there for keyboard use of course. But I shudder to think of using Logic or something like Maya (3d app) with a single mouse button...

And yes I realize you were probably kidding :P

The people at PHPbb are going to get a lot of complaints about this.

I maintain 3 other phpbb forums and it's not a phpbb issue I don't think. Mostly likely it's a condition of this site having some modifications that make updating a PITA. I don't envy J.C. for the amount of work he puts into this board, but I do appreciate the heck out of it (DONATE!)

I can imagine Apple doing something like specifying that help be used via an iPhone's screen for 'a less cluttered, more in-touch user experience'. Think of how convenient it would be for holding your helpfile in your hand, for easy reference alongside your man working screen. Heck, eventually you might eve need it due to all developers using it in their written 'quickstart guide': "for more information please refer to your iPhone help screen."

(Maybe even a new one every year! :MacGasm: !)
