Midi-problem?

Hi,
my new DAW works very well. 2 X Pulsar2,Quad Q9550,Intel Dp35,3Gb patriot ram,nvidea Gforce 8400gs,2 x Hdr,WinXp pro,Cubase 4.
When using a sequencer midi source for the St3000 sampler loaded with the classic piano or other sound the midi doesn't work stable. When the notes stops it gives somethimes glitches depending on the speed of the midinotes .Using midi for Vst-i inside cubase 4 works fine.
Does someone recognice this problem?

Thank you for the advice.
I've found out that reloading the sampler sts3000 solves the problem. Each time i start the system and load the project i get the glitches .Sometimes when i start up the system ,i get only half the view of the platform .Could this be a fault in the installation of scope?

maybe...
by "half view" do you mean that the routing window doesn't always show and needs to be reenabled, or is the program really only showing half of it's picture? maybe you could post a screenshot?

it's a incomplete view ,not a smaller that can be opened. It's like cutted. The half is missed without the edges .After restarting the normal view comes up.It's surely a software problem.
Thank you and grtz

why worry about that? just reinstall. i would try it right over the top of the old install first. you can backup the old files, just for safety's sake. that way, your devices and presets won't get lost. the most important files to backup are devices, dsp, vxd, dll, projects and presets. these can be copied and pasted if needed and will work upon program restart.

Thank you for the advice.I'll try the reinstall of scope but i think it's a case of quad core and scope.Maybe scope 5.0 will work better.

Works with multipe cpu's that have multiple cores as well here.
Do you have a hardware keyboard attached to the Scope midi inputs?

Same here, works ok with a quad. maybe a sts plug or a scope pb.

I have reinstalled scope twice.I've tried the different ulli-settings and samplerate-settings.It has nothing to do with Cubase. The irregular glitching happens inside scope. The setup ;sts3000 , piano samples(or other attacksounds) and the midikeyboard within scope have the same results.Switching to other projects ,loading sts5000,putting the sts-samplesdirectory to an other harddrive or using the Cd-station,connecting with the external midikeyboard, different combinations, nothing do chance it.I've alsoo reinstalled the drivers.
Thanks for the advice,

not an aspi problem then....? I know this perhaps doesn't relate to your particular problem but a lot of my scope issues were solved with a fresh install and update of this. But I'm reaching here.....

ASPI drivers can be downloaded
here
or
here
information on why aspi can be found
here
But more specificaly in the manual which can be found
here
Hope this helps but try other things too
I think aspi is specifically to do with audio and not midi or graphics

Thanks for the advice.I've found out that the problem comes from Cubase 4 and 5 with multicore Cpu. A simple Cubaseproject ; 1 audiotrack ,1 plug-in(reverence) gives glitches. The asio time usage turns wacko but in the performance section in tasks gives a stable Cpu-usage (10%) for all 4 cores and a low memoryuse. The ulli is 3ms on 48kHz.

I've told my problem a few days agoo on the Cubase.net site and much did read it but no-one replys. It's frustrating to invest in fantastic software and hardware and when something doesn't work ,there is no satisfying support. The most help i get is in this PlanetZ site.
Thank you
Marc
