Weird Scenes Inside The Gold Mine.....

Time for me to embarrass myself publicly again.
When I have time off this is good and bad.
Below is a jpeg of all of my projects new look.
They all have shadows, some much bigger than what I have shown below.
The little pop up window occurs first, and does not allow the project to load until a response is given.
Anyone ever seen this before?

I should have deleted the post, but someday I might be able to look back and laugh at what a Pendajo I was...
A set of WAV's w/o the vtp. file was saved to my project folder during a power outage this morning...
After reseting my clocks and restarting my DAW is when I noticed it.
I was so frantic about it I thought I better take a couple screenshots for referring to.
I started searching my folders to erradicate anything out of place, and that's when I noticed the WAV's.
I have no idea why they were stored there, but chalk it up as another lesson..
You were correct though, as it was a bad installtion of files in the wrong folder....
A year ago I would have been booking a flight for GaryB.....
So progress is at hand.

I thought I had it fixed, but found out it stored WAV's in other folders too that were all on the C Drive where the O.S. + Apps are.
They are normally stored on the Cubase projects drive.
That was the first time a power failure screwed me up that bad.
I was recording so I suppose that made the difference.
I really should have listened to one of my ProTools bro's who warned me about having a UPS since I started using VDAT.
I would have noticed the TV going off and could have shut down myself afterwards.
Thank God I have the Furman that requires manual switching to boot it back up....

XITE-1/4LIVE,
I've occasionally encountered such project corruption before - that's why I don't overwrite projects, but rename them with version numbers. Reload the last good project, and continue.
A crash while recording would corrupt the .wav's in VDAT (although they're laid out on disk when creating the VDAT project, their file sizes should be ok, and a scandisk may even get them back in shape), but corrupt a project like that seems pretty unlikely.. Sure it doesn't have another cause?

the pep error is minor. rebuilding the project will fix it, but it probably works fine after aknowledging the error anyway..
the problem of the wrong window at the top is because of the "always on top" switches at the top of each window. they look like two parallel red lines within the little circle when activated, like 2 grey lines when not...
