If you're using the Scope ASIO driver for the VST, just connect the ASIO source module in the routing window to a mixer channel, and insert effects in that channel. Connect the mixer outputs to the physical out modules (Analog, ADAT, Z-link, whatever you're using to monitor your Scope audio).
On the other hand, if you're using another sound card's ASIO driver for the VSTs, you'll have to physically connect that card's outputs to Scope's inputs (via anlaog, ADAT or SP-DIF), and connect those inputs, in the routing window, to the inputs of a mixer channel, and so on...

Hi m8,
What you would have to do is to setup a Scope project with audio driver you wish to use with your standalone plugs : ASIO or Wave Source devices in Scope.
If several plugs at the same time, then only one ASIO source and several Wave sources.
You have to be aware that if you wish to have let's say more than 3 VSTis active at the same time, you'll need to setup more virtual Wave and Midi modules on the Board's driver in Windows device manager (I guess you work with Windows).
As it's live then MIDI control over the VSTis so you need your Hardware MIDI IN module in place and connected to one or several Sequencer MIDI Dest modules.
Then I'd say a Scope mixer and plugs in or out of it.
At last, the main outs of the Scope Mixer to your monitor board's outs and that's it...
You could also put every plug you need in Cubase and have separated outputs from Cubase ASIO to Scope mixer and hardware Midi In plugged to Midi Seq used by Cubase. Personally Cubase way is my preference...

Yeah, just add in the Scope ASIO driver module plugged into a mixer, and the outputs of the mixer to your analog/digital, etc. outputs for monitoring life.
Scope essentially sees the VST's as a module inside Scope.
You can also hang a host (like Cubase, Samplitude, Reaper, etc. etc.) off the output and record your performance.
Note that I believe that this will really only work with the stand-alone VST's (such as Kontakt) that are not reliant on a host to run.
Have fun,
Greg
