Is there a reason the M/S version doesn't work in the Master insert of STM 2448?

The original worked as do the Dual Mono and Stereo version.

It worked here the last time I used it.

Maybe try it in-line with the mixer output rather than as an insert. However, if you're trying to use it as side-chain, then it should work as an insert if you have the routing setup correctly.
