WTF is a visigoth?

I googled visigoth thinking I'd come across some new weirdo goth fashion thing with vampire fangs & fake devils horns or something. I definitely expected to see black & purple.

i thought they were the cousins of the goths...or the tenctori..or ostrogoths...or at least the teutons?

They where indeed, the eastern tribes, while the Ostrogoths where the western ones.

are germanic tribes evil?

i know some of the individuals were, but i thought that the people in the tribes themselves were ok in general...

perhaps, you have no idea what tribe you're from?

Well they both are related to the same word that means "East". In fact, in German, Austria is "Österreich", which means "Eastern State". We must consider that the Austrian Asburgic empire was much larger and was extended a lot towards East, compared to what is Austria today.

well...seems so. If I have alook at internet statistics of parship I`ve 0 - 60 % in common with average neaby living people.
Perhaps I`m a new tribe? My father was from Munich and my mother from Greifswald (born at the escape from pommern, which is now poland). I grew up in then north and nordwest and I'm living now in the east. That are probably too many influences to categorize a certainl tribe
