Hello my name is Tom and am quite a new user of Creamware. I've installed it once in the past but have had a terrible time with my newest quadcore computer.

I installed the Scope Pro card first and it shows up in Device Manager without sharing too badly with IRQs. That seemed okay although Windows XP didn't ask to restart. The drivers came from the 4.5 disk. Next I installed Creamware 4.5 with two bundles of plugins. After the install was complete there was no sfp.exe to be found. I copied it from the 4.5 CD and then it began asking for all the other .dlls that weren't installed. I was never able to get Scope to start up so I tried to delete it. The uninstall wouldn't work either. I resorted back to a fresh OS and the same thing happened. I must be missing something very basic here.

Can anyone give me some guidance on the install process? It will be greatly appreciated!

Well this will be my third time but I will try. The uninstal doesn't
work so all I can do is delete the Scope folder right?

Try downloading the install from the Sonic|Core website and see if that works better than the disc. Also i seem to recall that it was better to copy all the contents of the CD and install from the copy on the desktop than trying directly the CD (this may be nonsense though ).

I was successful after grabbing 4.5 from sonic-core and dumping
on to the hard drive before running the install. Everything went well
although it didn't find sfp.exe the first time out. After I pointed it
to it all was well. ADAT clock from Paris is being recognized too.
Both are running on the same computer. Next is to install Cubase 4.
I have the updated asio .dll for that already.

If all goes as planned I will have a powerhouse here with all three apps
running along with a UAD 2 Duo and a UAD-1 in the same box. The Magma
chassis was an important part of this since I'm using 5 Paris EDS cards too.

I'll chime in when I get it totally functional with older projects and see
how it goes.
