Well at least you're in Montreal where there are great things to do a walk away. I'm snowed in in rural Ontario.

yes, that freezing rain is nasty. it just sucks. looks nice though... it's just part of a nasty winter in many parts of the US and Canada...

Yeah Gary, we get snowfalls, but they are light, rarely reaching more than a few centimetres in depth.
They are short-lived - even if snow settles on the ground it melts soon after, most commonly within half an hour.

They are very rare - in most years, low-level snowfalls do not occur at all. Any given area that receives one may not receive another for decades, or longer.

There are a few small ski areas on the other side of the country - all melted now of course. So snow outside of these areas is a rare and amazing thing.

Mild summer here so far, which is nice!

This may be a LONG Winter.

Friends/family back East are ALREADY tired of it, and are close to heading out of town.

paul, that looks really nice. Like my very idea what every winter should look like, at least 3 full months long. I mean, sure, summer and sun are nice, but a snowy winter is magic. :)
I hope we'll get some more lasting snow here soon, so far everything that came melted away again.

It's on it's way - as is possible record-breaking cold.

Stock up.
