Dave smith MoPho
$400 monophonic fully analog synth with curtis filters.
Isnt that about 10 euros now?
I just got one and i must say WOW you know when you first heard a creamware card? its like that.
and something you cant do unless you have your entire system on 88 or higher sample rate is play at the very top of the keyboard and never hear any aliasing or other crap.
It drips with analogness!
It sounds nothing at all like the evolver. the evolver has that sort of semi digital waldorf sound. dont get me wrong its very useful and versatile. but it is a completely different animal.
i have another "true analog" but its dedicated to 303 sounds (Future retro revolution)
and a DSI evolver, as well as the semi analog(filters only) in the spectralis the one voice of MoPho shines
and its actually got more stuff than those oh so expensive moogs. and i dont really like the sound of moog filter unless i want to make "zaps"
oh and moogerfooger? LOL sure ill pay $400 for a circuit i can make for $40 and get a custom panel made for $50
its the first post on my new blog.
