Hi can someone help me to understand the moduals in the scope.
I have cubase 4 and scope luna 2 and also the Yamaha mixer 01x, i want to record vocals,guitar and keyboards into cubase , i dont have the ADAT connecting plate so i think that i am only able to record two channels at a time which is fine.
I want to plug my mic into the inputs of the yamaha, the signal will then go through the yamaha into the soundcard via the digital in/out cable which is connected from the yamaha into the soundcard, i also want to playback what ever o record into cubase so i can hear it via the mixer to my speakers.

I have attached a screensot of my scope fusion platforms with all the moduals so if some one could send me a screenshop of how to connect up the moduals that would be helpful because i find it very confusing.[attachment=0]scope.jpg[/attachment]

Scope is virtual reality. it functions identically to how a bunch of hardware would. hardware has JACKS to which CABLES are connected. you must connect audio to audio and midi to midi. each input can come from only one output, but any output can feed several inputs. after that it's all about following the signal down the line.


the luna analog source and destinations are the input and output on the back of the card. when you plug a cable into the luna input jack(which is stereo and can be treated as 2 mono), the sound comes out the luna analog source.

the luna midi source and dest and the midi inputs and outputs(i/o) on the card.

the asio source and destination are cubase's audio jacks, if you will, as though cubase were a stand alone multitrack recorder inside the scope routing window. right click on the asio source and choose "sufaces" and you can set the number of ins and outs in cubase. beware, you must make changes to the asio modules with cubase CLOSED, and there are more than one type of asio module(i use asio2 24bit) which come in pairs. you must have the proper pair in the window or it won't work(asio2 dest won't work with the asio 16bit source). you may have only one type of asio connection in the routing window.

the wave source and dest are for any windows program to use as it's i/o jacks(such as media player). i use the 24bit wave modules. you may have as many of these in the window as you like or have dsp, but again, they must be present BEFORE opening the application you wish to connect.

the luna sp/dif modules are the card's digital connection. it is on a stereo 3.5mm plug(for in and out) on the card.

the sequencer midi modules are the midi i/o for cubase. if you want midi IN to cubase, connect the ,una midi source to the seq midi dest. for midi OUT come from the seq midi source.

with basic understanding about how to connect a tapedeck to your stereo system, it should be easy to go from here. go ahead and connect away. you can't reallly break it.
