I just got myself a deal for an old Tascam 8 track machine,
and an Aces B1618 mixer.
Next step, to get it connected to a Scope-card..
Do I need a mixer, or can I go direct from tape-machine through
AD/DA unit to scope ?

It´s an old TEAC 80-B, so I´d guess it´s consumer levels, could not find any spec on it,
and I´m considering to use an defect Fostex RD-8 ADAT tape recorder as AD/DA,
Fostex-data:
ANALOGUE INPUTS/OUTPUTS
• Connectors Balanced Two DB25 Unbalanced 16 phonos
• Input impedance Balanced 10k(omega) Unbalanced 10k(omega)
• Output impedance Balanced 600(omega) Unbalanced 10k(omega)
• Nominal input level Balanced +4dBu Unbalanced -10dBV
• Maximum input level Balanced +19dBuUnbalanced +5dBV
DIGITAL INPUTS/OUTPUTS
• Connectors Two EIAJ optical connectors

you can connect directly.
the 80-8 outputs -20 line level via unbalaced rca connectors.
