So I'm up to my neck having upgraded from Cubase 32/5.1 to Cubase 4 (of course I had to have SX3 as well to convert my old .ALL files)
This quirky little thing is just me testing some of the new bits in Cubase 4, with a bit of Omnisphere & Stylus thrown in.
I daren't leave it up for long as a certain world famous television company might take me to court.
Thought it might give one or 2 of you a laugh

I knew from the title what this would be about

EXTERMINATE!
It looks like you faded it out before the end do you have the full length version?

You knew from the title? You must be a real fan and someone who knows who Bad Wolf really is.
Sorry, no other version Neutron. It really was simply messing about and trying to get my head around the new Cubase. I daren't really develop it for copyright reasons although I must say I enjoyed doing it.

This sounds great, I just checked it out.
Your panning choices are well chosen.
The little shaker that is dead center, and uses silence as a tool is very effective.
It actually makes the drum tracks interesting when random percussions are added.
Nice synth motion too.
The vocal parts are way cool, reminiscient of Dark Side Of The Moon.
Nice Job Neil B.

Thanks Jimmy for the comments. Nice response to an "experiment". The hardest part was working with the "vocals". As there was a superb soundtrack to the TV series, and especially to these last 2 episodes, I had to use lots of filtering to remove as much of the backing track as I could. This was part of getting to know Cubase 4. Sadly I couldn't find a band pass filter - it only seems to have individual hi & lo pass ones for example. So I ended up using my trusty old GRM bandpass.
The synth motion was Vanguard and the warm pad Omnisphere although I think the attack of that pad is a bit out of sync.
All percussion was "doctored" Stylus loops (8 tracks) but more work should have been done on crossfading them.
Still, it was only an experiment.
Glad you enjoyed it
I've not really spent much time on "Z" for ages and realise I have about 30 pages of posts to catch up on, including dozens of tracks by members. Must spend more time here. Hopefully we'll have a bad winter and I can spend a bit of time catching up instead of biking
