Hello , i suppose that, a16 device need some preamplifier trough the input output connections, about +20db gain, for use a external voice effect.
The S/N in this moment, is very low.
the +4db of the effect, and the +4db of the A16 are no enough for this application.
Wath you think about?
My mind is right?

------------------out - ---------------------------
- ----------------> - -
- A16 - - - Lexicon PCM91 -
- <---------------- - -
----------------- in -----------------------------

This is the schematic of the actual connection through the device.
I use as mixer the STM 4896 software mixer of scoop, no hardware.
Every Hint is accepted....thanks for your patient,

By and best regards...

Hi, A16 should be fine without any amplification, check the level switch on the rear panel. Your external fx unit might have a line level switch too, have a look at it.
Check also the level of the signal you are sending out with a meter.

Ciao

A CAPACITY LIMIT OF YOUR DSP CARDS HAS BEEN REACHED
THE SPECIFIC CAUSE IS:
REQUIRED AUDIO TRANSFER BANDWIDTH BETWEEN DSPS TO HIGH.
IT IS OFTEN POSSIBLE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BY MEANS OF A GLOBAL OPTMIZATION OF THE PROJECT WOLD YOU LIKE TO TRY THIS NOW?

This is because of too dsp usage. See the DSP Load indicator!
