Hi to everyone at planet z!
Some days ago i start to listen to some noise clicks, coming from my Luna 2 card, either working with cubase, or even just surfing on the net, with no sound, the noise clicks appear, it seems that its horst with the normal wave drivers than with asio drivers with asio and working with cubase happens really less, but happens! Important to say that in 7 years with this card its first time happens! So i decided to uninstall the drivers and SFP 4 software. Then i install again and the problem still...
Maybe some hardware problem? I have windows xp 2.4 Ghz 1 gb ram and service pack 3 and i work with cubase sx 3, my soundcard registration number is Luna v1.01 sn:46x76xx00
Thanks a lot for you help
Cheers
Pedro Dias
P.S. i sent an equal email to sonic core but i dont have answer yet.

Hi Pedro,
Never send your SN on public forum!
If you did not reinstall your card recently, there is a good chance you need to clean your PCI and internal connectors to remove dust and oxyde ... and even may be check your cables!
cheers

Hi, i forget that about the serial number!
I already clean the PCI bus with a anti static brush and stills
I already talk with sonic core, and i have been making some tests i decided to disconnect the sartup project drive for SPDIF and it seems that the SPDIF is damaged, cause i never use it and maybe get damaged after all this years! Other possibility that sonic core said is that maybe the wordclock signal is not good. Im testing now and it seems that with no SPDIF the crack noises dissapear! Can you tell me please how i change the startup project, cause i cant find in which folder he is and i want to make a new sartup project with no SPDIF drive.
Thanks a lot for you help
Cheers
Pedro

hm, that's odd, i remember that happening to me, but really don't know what was the cause of it,
and yes, i noticed that when using SP-DIF module, cause i have 2 computers connected over digital in and out (both Luna II cards)
and i never figured out , why or how, re-starting projects or windows...don't know, cause that happend very rarely,
i noticed that maybe 2 or 3 times in all those years....
all the best

Hi,
Can you tell me how the SPIDF works, and for what purposes? And if a special digital cable to connect?
Thanks a lot
www.myspace.com/sonictransportsystem
P.S. i just use the analogue in/out, never used SPDIF! But now im curious about that, even to really test the SPDIF drives and the phisical in/out

well in my case that i'm using digital connection from one computer to another,
i saw you have nice hardware there, oh, where are those days , i had quite nice synths too (roland jp-8080, yamaha an1x, waldorf pulse, virus B rack, roland sh-32, roland jv1080 and more... ), but now i'm just using creamware cards and vst's,
so i wanted to add my second computer , which has Luna II, like external hardware workstation, i have steinberg V-stack installed, which supports 16 vst intruments and can be connected via ASIO module and Midi out + ditigal out (from my 16 channel mixer - SP-DIF dest) to my main audio computer, so in my main audio computer i just load digital input module SP-DIF source and connect it to my main mixer and that's all what i'm using for....
bye

I see! Nice set up you have there! And what about those hardware synths you dont use it anymore? I like vsts for sampling, like battery, and i use alien 303 for basslines, , but the other sounds are all from my hardware synths ( nord modular, dsi evolver, Korg ms2000 and sometimes some sound from my midi keyboard, yamaha cs2x) about SFP devices, i like a lot to play with modular 2....those sharc dsps are really good!!
Cheers
