My Uncle refruses to leave as usual, as he doesn't trust the FEMA folks, or local Government. Besides, he built his house w/ concrete pillars and Hurricane windows over 20 years ago. During Katrina he lost a tree that washed away, but his vehicles and all other valuables, even the Bar-B-Q grill (
Crucial ) were left intact.
But a record number of 90% of the people so far. Someone has done their homework, but Mobil / Exon will use this as a reason to spike short term prices for Oil.
When I was in St.Louis during vacation I noticed literally dozens of barges delivering Oil to the Wood River refineries across the Mississippi River to Illinois. The price of Gas is 60 cents cheaper than the rest of the country per gallon. Glad to see that Ol' Man River still has all of the Riverboats and Barges making trips, just like they did in the 19th century.
