seems UAD users have to face the same unconfirmed speculation threads on their forums like we do/did....
http://www.chrismilne.com/uadforums/vie ... &sk=t&sd=a
but why should they be better off?

Wonder why they have the moog logo in the add?
It seems as though they would be playing follow the leader.

I remeber PoCo's pitiful attempt at a DSP synth, that was limited to a single voice.......how embarrasing.
I do love to see competition in the DSP market though, someone has to be the AMD.....
All joking aside, I do like the sound of many of their mastering plugs, and reverbs. But live,.......those cards were worthless. A friend of mine used it for reverb and it had a natural pre delay due to it's latency, but it worked fine as long as you weren't looking for ULLI type of performance, or synths.

Not even double figures.
This is the DSP equivalent of a Five-A-Side football team with one injured. Xite is the equivalent of a fully fit Man Utd team with Rooney sent off for swearing at the ref.

"High bandwidth, 32-bit external memory interface supporting
glue-less interface to SDRAM, SRAM, and FLASH"
Mantrix should be happy anyways

Digital i/o? So it's an audio interface? Does anyone have a link to some actual specs? Or is everything speculation so far?

no thats just the specs of the sharc chips the rumor is about, they may or may not be actually used in UAD2 if it even uses those sharcs or even exists.

It was only about a coupla months or so ago that the UAD user base was canvassed with a questionaire about what features they would like to see in a new product.
I reckon this product is not even close to being ready.
Talk about speculating about the speculation.
Anyway, don't need one, don't want one.
I want a dobro.
At the moment.
Subject to change.
Wonder how much the UAD2 will cost.
Don't want one, don't need one.
Repeat, don't want one, don't need one.

PS Wonder if they do mobos with 2 x PCIe slots.

does the Roland bundle run on the UAD-1 PCI ?
(on their site it's listed with the PCI-e version only)
or is it not worth considering anyway ? didn't find any sound snippets yet...
cheers, Tom
