finished the neverending story-ish song

It's an ending theme for a short film my friend is doing.. it's some sort of vegetation / ecology film so he's planning this whole campaign around it. The song's uh.. sort of a 80's pop flavor. Kind of a retro feel I guess. I love the lines that the strings do.
I used melodyne for the first time... and the thing is amazing. The results sound much more natural than autotune, and the amount of control you have is absurd. Really great for polishing up. Though I might have over done it for some of the chorus parts since they sound perfect in pitch. Also, I went very "text book harmony" on the chorus this time, so not too exciting in that sense. I wasn't sure of the vocalist's capabilities, so went the safe route. Producing stuff from overseas is a drag, no matter how convenient the internet is.
Oh, and whoever made the d-s de-esser, many thanks, it's awesome! Psyq on the vocals really brings out the sibillance, so d-s was absolutely a life saver. Not sure how I went so long without using one.
I'm looking forward to getting the edit to do the actual scoring for the film itself.
