Anyone managed to get Pulsar2 working on win2k under ACPI/MPS Multi-processor. It seems to run fine under Standard PC, anyone know why?

Has to do with the way Windows 2000 assigns IRQs when not in "Standard PC Mode" (all your devices will share a single IRQ in that mode). Here's a link.

So does it really matter which one i install?
I have a Gigabyte GA-6VXDC7 Dual VIA Board and have noticed a setting in my BIOS, called MPS Version ( Multi-Processor Spec ) The setting reads : version to 1.1 and a version to 1.4 choice. Any info??

Just remember that multiprocessor won't help Pulsar, since it runs on SHARCs, pretty much. I think one of the only sequencers to support dual processors is Cubase...

Check your motherboard manual for more info on that BIOS setting. I suggest you stick with "1.4" for that setting though

Yeah, the dual cpu's are the processing power for Cubase Audio and VSTI Tracks. But i am having a nightmare setting up the Pulsar 2k drivers, it seems they only work on Standard PC configuration and not on ACPI/MPS Multiprocessors. And no matter what i do Pulsar ends up on IRQ 17 or 19 no matter what slot i use, funny thing is its the only damn PCI card in the machine!

Yes as it states in the Pulsar 2k readme "Standard PC" must be used. It's also just a beta driver.

Yes Beta drivers they maybe but isnt it about time beta finally went to FINAL Release with full support?? Basically I have an unusable pulsar card, because unlike Creamware my World and todays Technology Moves FAST and dual CPU Audio Systems are here now! So why the delay with Creamware??

Why don't you ask Creamware yourself? support@creamware.de -- this is a user forum
