Midi CCurver

This device will make everybody scream with delight...... it is a patented thing ( ) I built in FLStudio but its time the Z crowd gets this functionality. And, of course, I want it on my cards so I am not depended on FLStudio.....

So you have a midi controller ? Nice, nice. Lets say you have one rotator
and one button to play with!

Load one CCurver device. The curver has, at least:
- midi input CC knob
- midi output CC knob
- toggle CC button

Output CC value == Input CC Value

Toggle OFF does --> FADE MidiOUT Knob -> ZERO
Toggle ON does --> FADE MidiOUT Knob -> Input CC

Now, imagine you have 8 of these loaded. You can now
toggle them all OFF with one button on your midi controller. The moment
you toggle, they all fade to zero.

You know exactly which effects are connected to your midi controller. You quickly
put the 8 knobs in their correct positions for that awesome mix you will be doing
in a few moments! you wait.... you wait.... and at just the right time you toggle ON!
now 8 effects are faded in to your choosen position and your
phasers delays reverbers and LFO's start freaking your DSPs!!!!

This device can be extended with custom "fade" times, curves, multiple output CC's,
cc ranges, ...., ...

If it supported multiple output CC I would load at least 16 of these little control
puppets :D

I can do far more in Ableton Live, although you have to draw curves yourself and it needs more preparation for hands-on variety. You can do some really crazy stuff with the envelope editors...

However having something like that for Scope would be great. Seems like a nice idea.
Unfortunately I haven't had much time to make music much lately, but I remember having tried SpaceF's CC8 device. That was a quite nice experience :) Maybe not the thing you have in mind, but cool nevertheless for dramatic CC morphs. And why not chain some CC5/8's? the possibilities...

SpaceF has definately taken his toll on us. MIDI will never be the same.

Francis you should definately pursue yoyur idea, and also check out the MIDI Solutions FP8. You can do way more with this 1U than the manual says They never met SpaceF, so how could they know.

One you find the suitable controller, it should probably have dual pages at least. Plug one into an FP8 and take it wherever you want.

Customisation is the quintessential element.

What are curves?

With curve I mean something like a "LOG" formula on the modulation signal.

I am thinking it might be better to make a simple version, and
chain it too CC5 (free spacef device)

Perhaps a button which filters all outgoing
midi except the CC assigned to the output Knob ?
(some might want midi to flow through the devices, while
others need only the output CC )
