A little project that seemed to work

First off , Im a scavenger when it comes to creating things I would rather not pay for so I would like to see what people think about this. I have a set of event tr6 s and I really enjoy them. They come off of my soundcraft spirit fx 8. But that lowend problem was always occurring when I popping it into the car stereo. So I had a 12 rockford p2 sub kicking around in box and a power punch 300 watt amp running at 4 Ohm. The problem was connecting my amp to a house power supply , so what I did was take a power supply (400 watt or higher +3 12 V rails running higher than 18amps , this is for my system.
Power came up fine and the sub seemed to really well , then the roadblock occured where my monitor spekers were only controlled by one knob and only one set of monitor outs , so I spliced in the rca from the amp to the outputs on the board and now I have a rationally controlled audio to bass.
I can understand the miss conceptions on how I went about this procedure but I dont have the funds to get a studio quality subwoofer. I wanted to be able to a least solo my low end frequencies with some type of sub. Might not be perfect at the time but in my opinion , if you have a few hours extra time , an amp , and an old power supply , you could get a little more low end into your listening space , Il post pics of people want to see my procedure.
Oh and I set level on the sub by listening to commercial musical and seting the sub to mid gain and low pass at roughly 80 hz , it does sound sweet.
Tell Me What You Think
Cheers
