A little bit of a track I am working on...... I really like it, the melodies I made today, progressing from other parts already made a month ago.

this is the first part!

it's a very general theme, I would probably develop it a little more within the tune. Different subdivision, maybe add harmony, or perhaps vary the theme itself in variation form (not completely new). But this is probably just me.. You can hear from my recent project that I'm ALL about theme variations, partially because I have to write that way to keep things interesting. (I'm doing chiptunes)

I like how your kick is actually quite light, but actually sounds more snappy that way.

I think you are right! I really liked your track (just listened to it). Already have 3 other parts which go with this. But I'll make more and see how that
turns out...

I always use a seperate channel for the kick. I have 4 busses _and_ the kick channel. Also I used LimFat's eq to filter at 60hz. Also I sampeled kickme-too with Vinco & FAT. I think below 60hz is better space for the synths right ? I also cut the synth at 40hz. Then on the master some psyq to fill the lows.

I am mixing this in spacef's MB4 with LimFat in all the channels. The filter on the master is HPLP36 and I was tweaking a bit with the kickdrum using the Advanced Clock Delay

So very new experimental mixing setup for me!!
