I have decided to use synths to emulate certain instruments since they have features that a static sampler cannot currently provide.

Vector synthesis being one of those attributes.

I have attempted to emulate the breathing that occurs when an Accordian is sucking and blowing through it's reeds. I have posted a small snippet and have made some progress but I am afraid my meger knowledge is holding me back.

If anyone can suggest or provide a better timed envelope, or control where I could use an expression pedal to better emulate this sound, I would be deeply appreciative.

I realize this isn't what Vectron strengths are, but I need a quick passable instrument I can hit a button and have at my fingertips. Wasting an entire MIDI channel or slot in Gigastudio is a last resort as I have an excellent collection of these cheezy Bastards to use.

Chances are the same old hot shots will be entering the parties and places I use to play, so I have to have something fast to play at a seconds notice. This so far is working out soundwise, but a more experienced envelope programmer w/ knowledge of MIDI CC's and performance tricks is needed.

But I already have several libraires for when I will use that sound to record with.

I was looking for a fast preset in a synth that will be loaded the entire gig in a Project Window. The synth used will be Vectron and it should work since it will be a short intro for hot shots who dwell in our den. I just need a little more envelope tweaking and possibly LFO adjustments. The sound is close enough, as Accordians generate complex sawtooths, and squarewaves, which was a breeze with the 16bit waves provided in Vectron.

I need more precise Vectoring to emulate the air being moved across the Reeds.

Actually since you always engage rather than lurk, it was motivational enough for me to continue my research.

Where I have been sucessfull at emulating the Prophet VS in the same way as the bands in the '80's used it. Especially a German female vocalist, who's name and band escape me, but their MTV hit song was called " Voices Carry ", and a couple of cuts the awesome keyboardist they used, who also played in Passport I think, had some excellent presets that always amazed me, but I was so into the FAT BASTARD thing, I sadly overlooked it's real beaty and strength.

I will post a demo of the Vectron / Prophet VS patch in the music thread, w/ a link to the preset and instructions on it's use. Since the K-Follow is vital an explanation is needed on how 3 different attacks per preset can be used,......just like they did on the big jobs back then.
