Here's a strange problem that I've had for, I suppose, forever but I've just getting around to solving it.

The problem seems to be with Cubase 32/5.1 but it obviously has some relationship to Scope (4.5 and earlier versions)

If I have a midi or audio track in Cubase and pan the mixers, say, hard left for the stereo channel, the actual output to Analog Dest goes fully to the right.
The same happens if I pan to the right - in Analog Dest the output is then to the left.
This also happens if I pan in say Kontakt or anything for that matter.
Using a Scope synth (Prisma) and it's pan knob - the same happens.

Now,
I've tested everything in Scope with a Scope only project and everything is fine.
It isn't the mixers. It isn't the synths. If I use a wave source, that pans properly too.

It must be something to do with the way that Cubase is configured to "Creamware out 1L" but I can't seem to change that.

The obvious solution, which I've used for ages is that I simply configure Mix out L from a mixer to Analog Dest R and Mix out R to Analog Dest L

Anyone come across this please?

I was going to suggest checking to see if your audio out - monitor cables were not crossed. Obvious but if you have a project that works out side of cubase then it cant be. Have you followed the Scope manual procedures for Cubase setup? How are your master outs setup?

strange, i don't have that problem, afaik.
you could change the port assignment in cubase in the vstconnections window.

I have noticed the monitor out in the 24/48 mixer has left and right crossed over, haven't checked any other mixers for that. Small thing really

I checked all the hardware cabling many moons ago (let's face it, I embarass myself enough here sometimes) and all is fine.
You're right - if I use only a simple Scope only project:
Midi A source - Prisma - mixer - Analog Dest
then all works fine (all synths, all mixers)

I did follow the Scope procedures years ago and haven't really changed anything. Having said that, I just checked and it is right - but I understand it more now.

Sorry Gary, not quite sure what you mean here - perhaps 32/5.1 uses different terminology.
Can you phrase it a different way please if you have time? Although I think, again, that it is as it should be.

Not tried that mixer (only 6 DSPs!) but it seems I'm not as alone as I thought.

Not used XTC mode for years and then only to see what it did. But again, I'm not alone.

I'll probably just carry on swapping the mix outs to the analog dest but it would be interesting to solve this one.

where in your version of cubase do you enable the i/o?
you can also choose the name and ports there also, no?

Now I think I'm getting somewhere............

Because I've done most of my processing in Cubase in the past, using VST effects etc, my Asio settings only needed to be:
Source 2
Destination 48 (for Scope synths, analog source etc)

The source was then routed through a mixer to the analog dest.
So all my previous tracks worked like this and all had the same problem.
I never used the VST Master Mixer and consequently BUS channels.

I've just checked on the last track I did where I mixed for the first time in Scope
(see article in Projects forum)

So, I tried panning the VST channel mixers here, that are then routed to the respective bus outs (Asio Source 32, Dest 4) and the stereo pan is the right way around.

Enabling/Disabling AUdio is a keystroke command under preferences - I have this as a menu icon.

However, for the midi I/O in this version - it is, in fact external to Cubase in a programme - Setup MME.
All this is configured fine.

It has to be something to do with only using the Cubase VST channel mixers and not the VST master mixer (see previous reply).
