Help a new user out w/ Z-Link and ASIO

Hello Planet Z Forum:
I am a new Scope user and forum member, after finding the Scope Home card on sale at Musician's Friend for $149. You have a great community here, and I have a renewed excitement for making music. The Scope card is up and running, but I still have a couple of questions that I cannot find the answer to, either in the manual or on the forums:
1. Can the Z-link connection safely power another firewire soundcard? I know that the Z-Link connection is proprietary and that the audio feed will not work on a standard firewire soundcard, but I just want to know if it will safely provide power (not audio) to the firewire device (a Focusrite Saffire). The reason I ask is because I have 3 pci slots. One slot has the Scope Home card, the other has a pci firewire adapter. So, if I remove the adapter, I will have two open pci slots for future Scope cards!
2. Can multiple ASIO drivers be used at the same time in the routing window? I am a little confused by this right now. Currently, I have Ableton Live 7 (with the Scope ASIO driver selected) and all the appropriate I/O's set up in the routing window and the audio sounds great. However, I also have NI Kore 1 (with Kore 2 software), which I prefer to run in standalone mode, and a Focusrite Saffire (great mic pre's), and both have ASIO drivers. I would like to run the audio from Kore and Saffire into Scope, and then into Live for sequencing. I have figured out how to do this with hardware I/O's, which is straightforward. But can this be done entirely within the Scope routing window using software I/O's? To put it another way, is it possible to run Kore on its own ASIO driver, and the Saffire on its own ASIO driver, and then send both signals into Scope first, and then into Live?
I appreciate any responses. I have only had the Scope card two days and it is a bit of a learning curve.
