Airlines Suck

This is the biggest bunch of shit IMO.

We are raised over here to be self sufficent, at least where I grew up, and constantly reminded of how bad it is to rely on the Government to be our daddy by providing us with every known necessity, but if you are in the Airline business, or a member of Congress, ( The Elite ) they practice no such model.

We constantly bail out these poorly run businesses w/ our tax payer dollars so they can keep providing us with their late schedules, aircraft that break in half during takeoff ( Brussels recently ), while they overstuff their plane and make you wait on the tarmack / runway for hours !!

Now they want to weigh their customers before flying??

These people and CEO's that make a living off of our taxpayer dollars need to seriously re think their latest strategy.

Imagine the lawsuits that will occur from publicly being weighed, only to find out you are a FAT BASTARD and must pay extra, while others behind you snicker??? )*(&^_)(_(

Fuck these guys. Let the few airlines that show profit split up the remaining assets from these losers, and be done with them.

It bothers me when I have to take a straight gig for 5 months just to buy Solaris, XITE-1, and a Bricasti M7 w/ new monitorring facilities, and suffer not performing the entire time!! The longest I have ever left the stage since I was 19 years old !!

I should be able to go to DC and gravel like these mooches do. Why not?

If we are to promote self sufficiency and hard work, then why can't these overpaid beggars do the same.

I AM MAD AS HELL, AND CAN"T TAKE THIS MUCH LONGER!!!!

I was forced to babysit idiots, convicts, and un educated union tradesmen for 5 months. Yes I was paid well, but I walked away knowing it was a mission that was accomplished through hard work,,,,imagine that.

We should send these CEO's / beggars to Ft. Benning Georgia in the summer like I did once. It will make them appreciate what opputunities they have, and teach them to stand on their own 2 feet.

This endless bail out / begging cycle must stop.

Once you feed the birds, they just continue to shit, and come back for more.

Someone needs to close this door and send these mooches to Ft. Benning, or Camp Pendleton for some refresher courses in survival, not begging.

Right now they are cutting flights and moth-balling planes to save money? That is unacceptable.

Sorry if I get a liitle upset. But this is America where businesses have survived in a hostile enviroment. Sink or Swim,.....it's that simple.

They make so little money, I wonder why anyone would want to be in that business. Ultimately, everyone is going to have to pay more. They are desperately trying to figure out how to charge more because of high oil prices. I'm glad people will be flying less. I know people who consider themselves to be environmentalists yet they fly from Europe to the United States twice a year plus they fly all over Europe. How hypocritical! Maybe now we can get high speed rail like Europe, Japan and China have. We keep falling behind the rest of the world in technology every year and I for one am sick and tired of it. To hell with the airlines and the people who use them.

Very true.

Here in Vegas they have a great public mono rail whcih is not high speed, but very efficiant and it keeps the revenues flowing as it connects all of the properties from downtown to the strip.

Soon the airport will be connected and it will cut down the traffic even more.

Southwest Airlines does make a nice profit though, and have set the model for others to follow.

They just lack the ability to climb out of the hole they dug.

They also don't inspect their planes.

Didn't Reagan deregulate the airlines after the (supposed) air traffic controller strikes, etc.?

My memory is getting foggy :D

Yes he did.

He had to undo Carters attempt at Socialism. A failed policy that our Congress ( Liberal Dem's ) seems to think will work again.

I honestly believe the elite members of our legislative branch get lower rates for family members and friends.

Actually I am mad about what they do on the other airlines that people must fly.

I fly Southwest Airlines and never have any trouble stateside.

I just hate seeing Uncle Sam bailing out companies that have no business sense.

I do love trainrides through the mountains, they are cheap and fun.

They are great when you are not in a hurry.

Government bail outs just seem to prolong piss poor business models. They eventually claim Bankrupcy and the taxpayers get screwed.

They need to stop breast feeding.

What's wrong with socialism? From what I understand people living in socialist countries are much more happy than we are because they don't have to worry about the high cost of health care, they get more vacation time, safer food, better education.

The republicans only care about the greedy corporations which are f*cking us in the butt. Shame on anyone who would support such a hideous system. The trickle down theory proved to be a big fat lie.

You are talking about communism not socialism but unfortunately the right wing politicians who play on peoples fears have managed to equate the two in the minds of the public; much to the detriment of society.

socialism and communism suck. they are just another form of central controlled dictatorship.

being socially conscious and responsible is a great thing.

once again though, the problem is NOT the common man. rather, it's the one who wishes to manipulate the common man that is the real problem.

I think it's a 2 way street, the people just want to pursue their own desires without considering their impact on the whole -and live self-hypnotized in their distractions and addictions-, and in turn the politicians and corporate monsters just want to pursue their own agandas and personal fortunes without care for Life. I think it's pretty much the same thing but at another level of course... People are sound asleep and most of them just don't know that they can wake up, let alone reach up to an Enlightened state. It's easy to manipulate people whoe are already caught in their emotional turmoil and mental confusion. Still, it's the individual's responsibility to put things in order in his own life.

No one is really neutral on this planet, we've all played a role on the course of history, the state of things is a signal that we as a collectivity must change our ways and wake up before the monster we've fed and raised swallows us whole...

Weight = Price

Hah! A company like that would easily loose me as a customer. I am 6 feet 3, and that alone makes my price higher. As if I would play that game.
