I switched on my magma case today and heard a loud click that suggests its power supply went dead... (could smell it too  ) Both pulsar 2 cards probably got fried as well. Am I gonna bother looking for power supply/test that shit/buy back pulsar2s? nope. Sonic core, get us the Xite1, I now have a good reason to buy it :)

Come on SC, let's Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

well my puslar 1 has made it 10 years so far... althoughi t has gone through really bad times -.I can`t remember any piece of hardware exept my scsii burner and card which made it that long. esp. asuas boards are crippels. It takes approximately 3 months to blow them off just by standard usage (and that's only if you were that lucky to get a n original, which means you have to be one in a million).

for anyone who may be concerned, any atx power supply works with a magma cb2. I replaced it yesterday and it works, the cards are intact

any idea if this is true for the 4-slot chassis as well?
I was told so, but I'd like to hear that from more than one source... :)

its good to hear that magma gives you such a POS supply considering how much they charge for those things.

The CB2 uses a small 2U PSU, but the CB4 uses a standard ATX PSU.

arf, to their discharge (!) I was using it with the psu cover removed and the fan wires cut (its noise was driving me nuts).. that aggravation was still good to run for ~1000 hours of work

that's great. I will have a CB4 soon, but with a builtin DC PSU. that's why this information is kinda important for me... :)

Hey, Markus - did that 4 slot Magma case also come with some ATM cards in it?
